Hey guys! I’m Amanda – wife to my hilariously charming husband and mommy of two, 21 months apart. Life with two toddlers is pretty wild, but wonderful. They give me plenty of material to write about! My background is a hodge podge of journalism, music, and childcare. I love crafting, pretending to be organized (I try!) and solving life’s problems one day at a time by God’s grace. Hi, there! I’m Jessica – wife to an incredible husband, mama to a beautiful little girl and undeserving child of a grace-giving God. My passions are decorating, building, vintage shopping, coffee drinking, photography and music. If it’s creative, I’ve probably tried it! Living in the beautiful state of Kentucky, it’s easy to get inspired. Through Salt & Life, I’m excited to share DIYs, decorating tips, life hacks and general musings with you alongside my beautiful friend and fellow mama, Amanda. 

Welcome to Salt & Life!

We’ve been asked by many of you why we chose Salt & Life as our blog name. In Matthew 5:13-16, we are called to be salt and light, ambassadors for Christ who provide the flavor and light of His love to the world. Every day, we are asked to let our lives be a reflection of Christ and our lights “so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Of course, we’re not perfect by a long shot, and while our days are full of worship, they are also full of raising kids, being wives, working, hobbies, frustrations, successes, ideas and failures. Enter Salt & Life, a sneak peek into our busy lives and our way of giving back, being the salt, and sharing what we’re learning!
